Please note we have several exceptions to this rule which will be agreed on a case-by-case basis. Additional support, where appropriate, from the school will help us with our decision making:
- GCSE or A’Level Music Students – Capacity allows, and payment has been made.
- Significantly under Contract Hours – The tutor is significantly under their contract hours and payment has been made.
- Block Bookings or Tuition Funded by Schools – The school funds tuition direct, no charges are to be made to families and the tutor has capacity.
Other Services including ISGT (Block Booking) – There is not the requirement for a notice period for individual students where schools can manage this time direct. Schools must, however, abide by the notice periods outlined above to make changes to the time purchased from LMS.
New students, as well as existing students wishing to cease, must give notice. Applications must be received from families by the following deadlines to take effect at the start of each term:
Cancelling Tuition
LMS cannot accept any responsibility for lessons cancelled by schools and families, although every effort will be made to rearrange timetables to accommodate a ‘make-up’ session.
LMS will not charge schools and families if tuition is cancelled by LMS due to staff circumstances or other absence.
Invoicing
LMS has a 36-week delivery model and therefore the reconciliation of the account will be carried out at the end of the academic year. LMS will not issue refunds/credits until the end of the academic year.
All Schools should check schedules regularly and notify Lincolnshire Music Service of any changes required and submit any Purchase Orders required for invoicing.
