Thank You and Goodbye
As another busy and successful term comes to a close, we would like to take a moment to recognise and thank a number of valued colleagues who will be leaving Lincolnshire Music Service.
This term we say goodbye to Mrs Smith, Mrs Chambers, Mrs Bidwell, Mrs Paterson, Mr Clarke, and Mrs Atkinson. Each of you has made a positive contribution to our service, our schools, and the many young musicians you have supported throughout your time with us. We are grateful for your dedication, commitment, and the difference you have made to the lives of children and young people across Lincolnshire. We wish you all every success and happiness in the future.
We also say a very special farewell to Malcolm Duckels, who leaves us after more than 30 years of service with Lincolnshire Music Service. Throughout his career, Malc has led our County Groups for the majority of that time, inspiring generations of young musicians. His commitment has taken him through countless rehearsals, concerts, tours, and residential courses, creating unforgettable musical experiences and memories for so many students and colleagues alike. His passion, expertise, and unwavering dedication have left a lasting legacy within the service.
Thank you, Malc. You will be greatly missed.
Finally, we say goodbye to Jen McKie, who has led Lincolnshire Music Service since 2007. For nearly two decades, Jen has guided the service through many changes and achievements, always with professionalism, determination, and a genuine commitment to both staff and students. Her leadership, encouragement, and support have helped shape the service into what it is today. Alongside her hard work and dedication, Jen has brought warmth, positivity, and plenty of laughter to those fortunate enough to work alongside her.
Thank you, Jen, for your leadership, support, and friendship over the years. We wish you every happiness and success in the future.
To all our departing colleagues, thank you for everything you have given to Lincolnshire Music Service. You leave with our gratitude, our best wishes, and the knowledge that you have made a lasting impact on the lives of countless young people and fellow staff members.
You will all be missed, and we wish you the very best for the future.
