New Head of Lincolnshire Music Service Appointed
Lincolnshire Music Service is delighted to announce the appointment of Helen Murray as its new Head of Service.
Helen brings extensive experience in music education leadership, having most recently served as Head of Yorkshire Young Musicians and previously holding senior leadership roles within Nottingham Music Service. Her appointment marks an exciting new chapter for Lincolnshire Music Service as it continues to develop and expand opportunities for children and young people across the county.
With a strong track record of leading music education organisations, developing high-quality musical opportunities for young people, and building effective partnerships across schools and communities, Helen joins the Service at a pivotal time for music education both locally and nationally.
Helen will officially take up her new role on 1 December.
Commenting on her appointment, Helen said:
“I am delighted to be taking up the role of Head of Lincolnshire Music Service and greatly look forward to getting to know the staff, students, schools, partners and the wider community across Lincolnshire. I am excited to work with colleagues to build on the Service’s excellent work to ensure its continued success in providing high-quality musical opportunities to inspire children and young people across the county.”
Sally Howley will continue to lead the organisation as Interim Head of Lincolnshire Music Service until Helen begins her role in December.
Lincolnshire Music Service supports thousands of children and young people each year through a wide range of initiatives, including instrumental and vocal tuition, ensembles, curriculum support and performance opportunities. Under Helen’s leadership, the Service will continue its commitment to widening access to music education, nurturing talent and ensuring music remains at the heart of children’s education, personal development and wellbeing.
