Spotlight on Music Centres

Congratulations to all our music centres on a fantastic term! A heartfelt thank you to every member of staff and all our students for your dedication, passion, and hard work. Here’s a flavour of some of the work taking place in the music centres. Music Centres take place in Boston, Bourne, Grantham, Lincoln, Louth, Sleaford and Spalding

Following their outstanding performance at the Music for Youth Proms at the Royal Albert Hall, we are introducing the Lincoln Youth Cello Ensemble. Starting in January, this ensemble is open to cello players of Grade 5 and above. Rehearsals will take place every week from 5:30 pm to 6:15 pm. The highlight of the evening was the debut performance of the Sleaford Folk Rock Group, who came together for the first time after running hybrid sessions throughout the term.

This ensemble offers a brilliant opportunity for pupils who can’t attend the Music Centre in person to get involved. They welcome all instrumentalists aged up to 18 who are playing at Grade 3 level or above.

Rehearsals take place every Tuesday from 5:45 pm to 6:30 pm.
