Adapted instruments

Thanks to our partnership with OHMI Home we are now regularly able to support children and young people needing adapted instruments to ensure they can make music. ‘Smiler’ is having drum lessons and made it in to an end of year newsletter for the rock band Scarlet Rebels. Having attended Call of the Wild festival in Lincoln Smiler air drummed his way through their gig and has since been invited to go back stage and watch their soundcheck.  Another student is now receiving fully funded lessons and the hire of a left handed clarinet through the OHMI Music-Makers scheme. Music in specialist settings

Our amazing Together Through Music Live project from Summer 2024 in partnership with Sinfonia Viva and Orchestras Live has led to developmental work and training for a team of Lincolnshire Music Service tutors. Throughout this academic year the project will be developed around the county with our expanding team of tutors. The programme works best as a block booked 3 hour visit in to school. This provides flexibility to deliver whole class instrumental projects; intervention groups; 1:1 instrumental lessons and school based music making groups all to ensure every child has the opportunity to uncover their musical interests and talents. This year we hope to bring together groups of schools to participate in festival style celebration events including Sinfonia Viva musicians.
