Lincolnshire Music Service appointed to lead Lincolnshire Music Hub
Lincolnshire Music Service has been appointed by Arts Council England to continue to lead the Lincolnshire Music Hub from September 2024, as part of an ambitious national programme to provide high-quality music education for all children and young people.
As the Hub Lead Organisation for the Lincolnshire region, Lincolnshire Music Service will receive £1,326,882 from the Department for Education. Lincolnshire Music Service will receive £998,788 to coordinate music education in the local area, plus new funding amounting to £328,094 to invest in new musical instruments, equipment and technology tailored to the needs of children and young people in Lincolnshire, including those with special educational needs and disabilities.
Lincolnshire Music Service will deliver high quality music education accessible to all children and young people in through diverse partnerships between educational, creative and community organisations, in their local communities and throughout the country.
Lincolnshire Music Service’s appointment is part of a major investment in a new generation of the nationwide network of Music Hubs. This investment will help to deliver the Government’s National Plan for Music Education and give all children and young people the opportunity to develop their musical interests as far as they wish, including helping them to begin careers in the music industry.

The Arts Council’s ambition is for every child to be inspired by the arts. This funding will support the new generation of Music Hubs to build on the great work of the programme to offer children across the Midlands opportunities to take part in musical activities, including learning an instrument, singing or exploring how music is created and produced.”
