Launch of the Culture Collider
Lincolnshire’s Local Cultural Education Partnership has launched a powerful new strategic framework designed to increase access to high-quality cultural and creative learning for children and young people across the county. The new approach marks a significant step forward in Lincolnshire’s ambition to embed creativity at the heart of education and community life.
Culture Collider is the name for Lincolnshire’s LCEP and represents a fresh, collaborative approach to cultural education.
Inspired by CERN’s Large Hadron Collider, the Culture Collider creates the conditions for creative collisions between schools, communities, artists and cultural organisations, sparking unexpected partnerships, new approaches to creative learning and high-quality cultural opportunities for children and young people.
While the Culture Collider acts as the catalyst, its wider mission is to empower both education and cultural sectors to build sustained, long-term partnerships, maximise opportunity and strengthen cultural education across the county.
Alongside this, the partnership is investing in a creative supply chain, working with artists, practitioners and organisations to strengthen professional practice to ensure that as demand from schools grows, our cultural sector is well-equipped to respond with high-quality, inclusive and impactful provision.
Crucially, this work extends beyond the school gates, supporting young people to engage confidently with cultural opportunities across Lincolnshire and beyond, and to develop pathways into creative study, training and employment.
