đ” UpRising Choir â End of Term Celebration đ”
As we reach the end of another fantastic term with UpriSING, we wanted to take a moment to celebrate everything we have achieved together.
Each Friday afternoon, learners and staff from specialist and mainstream SEND Hub settings across Lincolnshire and Derbyshire joined together online for our choir rehearsals. To support focus and engagement each session was only 30 minutes long and we packed so much into every rehearsal! Sound makers, singing, dancing and signing; even a few pets and teddies made an appearance!
Throughout the year, we have enjoyed singing familiar favourites as well as learning new songs, developing our confidence, musical skills, and teamwork along the way. It has been wonderful to see participants connecting, encouraging one another, suggesting new songs and sharing a love of music despite being many miles apart.
This term our focus was on sport and of course we didnât ignore the World Cup enjoying singing âWaka wakaâ and âWe are the championsâ suggested by young people. Everyone has contributed so much enthusiasm and energy, and we are incredibly proud of all that we achieved together.
A huge thank you to all the learners, staff, and supporters who have made our new version online choir, UpriSING, such a success this year. Your dedication and positivity have helped create a welcoming choir community where everyone can shine.
