Unique opportunities to enhance music-making in your school
The MEHEM UpRising project recently received £200k funding from Youth Music to roll out ‘UpRising360’, a 3-year workforce development project designed to increase the skills, knowledge and confidence of both school staff and hub-based instrumental tutors. East Midlands schools are a key part of this project. There are three long-term training opportunities available that your school may be interested in:
1. ‘360 Musical Cultures’: Hosting a Music Inclusion Specialist in your school for a year, supporting the development of all-aspects of music-making in the school.
2. Hosting a ‘Musician-in-Residence’ for up to a year, specifically supporting the development of instrumental teaching and ensemble provision in the school.
3. School-based training in the ‘Musical Play Framework’ to support pupils with PMLD to access music-making
